About Me

Thanks for stopping by to check out my blog! I’m an professional Mac software developer by day, but I’m currently enjoying putting out small and useful Apps into both the Mac and iPhone App Stores in my free time.

Please, leave me your honest feedback so I can make something useful for you. As a developer, I can often get my head stuck into the details of coding that I lose sight of what is actually useful, so don’t hesitate to leave comments!

Just bought the app and I like it a lot! However, when I click on Wind, it doesn’t sound like wind to me, just sounds like the white noise and very static like.

    • Thanks for the feedback! I’ll look into getting a more realistic wind sound.

I agree about the realistic quality of the wind. Also, you have wind and windchimes, but it’d be really cool to have to two combined. You know, like you’re sitting on the porch on a windy day listening to the windchimes… that’d be great. Would be a simple composite I’d think, but let me know if that’s not your area of expertise and I could help out.

Installed Chill and most sounds are there but the cricket sound was none existent. The water noises are excellent. The Rainforest and Thunderstorm are okay, but the rest are not that realistic.

Just purchased your Chill app via the App Store and worth every penny. Especially LOVE the Airplane as it reminds me so very much of the travel I’ve endured overseas. It’s great to set it and allow it lull me asleep. Certainly would have payed more for such a wonderful app and hope you’ll continue to add and tinker with it to perfection. Thanks Dave!

Another feature that’d be great is a key command to toggle the app. In the office I work in I frequently have calls, and it’d be cool to be able to toggle app off with a key command in order to answer a call quickly.

Oh yeah, otherwise though I love this app! I’ve been using it regularly for about a year and a half with the lite version and just upgraded.

Dave. Just purchased the full version of the app and love it! Don’t know how much (if any) you’re working on it still, but I second Nathan – I would LOVE to have some global keyboard shortcuts so that I can pause/play Chill very quickly. I usually have Chill going and also have some iTunes playing (so I can do things like James Taylor by the fire, or Dave Matthews at the beach). So I need to turn both of them off quickly when a call come into the office. A couple of quick keystrokes would be much cooler than several mouse moves and clicks.

Other than that, I love the minimalism of the menu bar approach and the simplicity of the app overall. Keep up the great work, and thanks for listening.
